Vipava valley is known for numerous hiking trails and mountains. If you wish to see the Valley in all of its beauty, wheater you are a begginer or an experienced hiker, this hiking experience is for you. Some of the trails that lead to breathtaking panoramic views, can be accessed from our campsite. The other picturesced natural hiking sites can be reached in just a quick car ride.

SVETI PAVEL, 520 m

Sveti Pavel (St. Paul's church) is very popular hiking spot with viewpoint nearby. The view on Vipava Valley will amaze you. On plateau around the church there are many secret spots where you can peacefully fullfill your soul. Just a few meters beyond the plateau stands ancient water tower from Roman times.

VELIKI ROB, 1237 m

Just a view on the Veliki rob's stone peak, which is projecting from the Trnovo plateau will stunn your eyes. For longer hike you will be awarded with beautiful view on Vipava Valley, Karst and Trieste Bay.

KUCELJ, 1237 m

Kucelj is the most visited hiking place in this part of Trnovo plateau. The hill's peak is bare, level of difficulty is a little bit higher, but the views will repay your hard work.

VELIKI MODRASOVEC, 1353 m

The longest hike route from our list leads us on Veliki modrasovec. On your hike you will pass Anton Bavčer lodge, where you can taste some traditional meals and drinks. On Veliki modrasovec you will have to climb an old military builiding to see the view on Julian Alps with the highest mountain in Slovenia, called Triglav.

MALA GORA, 1034 m

A destination with mountain lodge, where you can freshen yourselves with drinks and peacefully enjoy the view on Adriatic Sea. Not far away stands the bench of love, which is a must-visit especially for couples in love.

VITOVSKI HRIB, 604 m

There is a church that peacefully stands above the lower part of Vipava Valley for centuries. We find it on Vitovski hrib above village of Vitovlje. From church yard there is a nice view on the Valley and surrounding villages. A couple of hundred meters beyond the church lies a lake with chrystal clear water.
