Rallying Through the Vineyards: The Vipava Valley Rally

Rallying in the Vipava Valley boasts a proud and long-standing tradition. With steep slopes and tight hairpin bends, the local roads pose a real challenge even for the most experienced rally drivers. The event is a true crowd-puller, attracting thousands of spectators to this scenic corner of Slovenia.

The Vipava Valley Rally takes place around the towns of Ajdovščina and Vipava, featuring some of the most spectacular sections in the region – including the famous serpentines of Velike Žablje, known locally as Žabeljske ride. A major highlight is the night-time super special stage through the centre of Ajdovščina, offering a unique atmosphere and electric energy under the city lights.

During the day, high-speed stages unfold across the surrounding hills, where spectators can enjoy prime viewing spots right next to the track. The natural amphitheatre of vineyard-covered slopes provides not only excellent vantage points but also a relaxed, authentic setting for motorsport fans.
